Located in the historical heart of Istanbul, everything is nearby: the Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia are just a few blocks away as are the Topkapi Palace and the Archaeological Museum. The Grand Bazaar is barely ten minutes walk away, its smaller competitor, the Arasta Bazaar, stands very near the hotel. Every Wednesday offers a glimpse into Turkish life with a fabulous little street market selling fruit, vegetables, tea, spices, and crafts. The boutique Hotel Poem was designed in the style of traditional Ottoman urban residences and constructed in the late nineteenth century. Carefully restored in 1992, the Hotel's 16 rooms are tastefully decorated, well appointed and air conditioned, all with private bathrooms. The examples of Turkish poetry you will see in your room will help you discover the secret of this poetic city. Breakfast is included in the price of the room and can be taken in the shade of walnut and fig trees. Winding stairs take you to the spacious roof garden, where you can enjoy views over the Bosphorus and the old city. Superior rooms are something very special, strongly recommended for honeymoons and specials occasions. Quiet quality place in a great location, not to mention the nice price. < hide more details

Room bit tiny, but the staff friendly and helpful. Beautiful location with old day travelling atmosphere. Relaxed, no hype, appreciate that more than anything.
